December's Meeting and Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil
So we're having a nice little book and dinner discussion. Hope to see you all there for the Ginger Man on Thursday, December 15th. Just a FYI, starting in January, I'm moving the meetings to 7 p.m. location TBA.
Meanwhile, I visited another book meeting for Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil by John Berendt, which I felt was compelling and well written. The other ladies hated it but at least it was an interesting discussion. They had a hard time liking any of the characters but that's not necessary for me.
Any book that actually makes you want to travel to the place you're reading about has to at least have some merit.
